26_September 2016: During the month of September, climate finance was highlighted at the highest level, during the Group of Twenty (G20) Summit and the General Debate of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 71). Readiness and access support received a major boost through the establishment of two major initiatives, underpinned by millions of US$ in funding. The UNFCCC released several reports in the run-up to the UN Climate Change Conference in Marrakech. 22_September 2016: As UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon nears the end of his tenure, he has asked the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP) to take the Zero Hunger Challenge forward.
